The Home Office has spent just under £1.7 million on catering for illegal immigrants at Dover and Manston.

I can exclusively reveal that between January 1st 2022 and August 31st 2022, £1,699,378 has been spent on catering new illegal arrivals at Dover and Manston processing facilities.

Last year (2021), the Home Office spent £358,400 on takeaways for illegal immigrants and since the news was leaked, the Home Office vowed to replace the Dominos pizzas and Kebabs with a private catering firm. However, I can now reveal that the true figure of feeding illegal immigrants once they arrive at Dover has climbed dramatically.

In the year 2021, the Home Office were ordering pizzas, sandwiches and kebabs, with some orders costing roughly £5,000 at a time. This year though, the Home Office is providing illegal immigrants with their own private catering upon arrival. With record-breaking numbers entering illegally by boat this year, it was inevitable that the price would increase.

The £1,699,378 cost covers both the Dover site and the Manston facility which is used as a stopgap before illegal immigrants are chauffeured to luxury hotels all over the UK.

In a time when many British families are struggling to afford their bills, people are constantly worrying about affording the next meal and millions are having o use food banks, the news of just under £1.7 million being spent on illegal immigrants’ food upon arrival is surely going to upset the taxpayer who had to foot the bill.

To date, 35,607 illegal immigrants have arrived by boat according to the MOD.  There is absolutely no sign of any deterrent being implicated and it’s just business as usual in terms of arrivals.
