Illegals Found In A Lorry In Ipswich.

Thirteen illegal immigrants were found inside an HGV on the Ransomes Industrial Estate, Ipswich.

They were found at roughly 10:40 am on Thursday 25th May, according to Suffolk police the lorry had managed to pass through both the French and UK customs before being discovered in an industrial park in Ipswich.

The police force has confirmed that three people in connection with the incident have been arrested, including the male driver.

They were arrested on suspicion of breaching immigration act offences and were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

Emergency services were at the site for a few hours and officers were currently liaising with the Home Office Immigration Enforcement team.

The Home Office still refuse to give an exact figure on how many illegal immigrants arrive each year via lorry or vehicle.
