Yesterday a record-breaking 1,295 illegal immigrants arrived on 27 dinghies (small boats).
A staggering 27 dinghies crossed the Channel yesterday and were all picked up by the Border Force and the RNLI. Even the Eastbourne lifeboat was called out to collect illegal immigrants. The lifeboat collected the illegals and ferried them to Dover.
Various other Border Force vessels such as Typhoon, Hurricane, Defender, Ranger & Volunteer were used to collect illegal immigrants from French vessels in the middle of the Channel.
There were also arrivals down at Dungeness in which they were greeted by Care4Calais and Interforce. The majority that arrived at Dungeness were Albanian.
A Police Officer asked who was Albanian and half the group of illegal immigrants raised their hands.
Over 23,000 illegal immigrants have arrived by boat this year. It wont be long before lastbyears record of just undrr 28,500 will be broken.
There have been more crossings today.
