White Man Wins £10 Million Discrimination Lawsuit

A White man, who was fired from his hospital job due to a ‘diversity initiative’ wins $10 Million in a discrimination lawsuit.

David Duvall, a former senior vice president of marketing and communication at Novant Health, lost his job in a push by the hospital to diversify its leadership team. He has won a $10 million lawsuit, with a federal jury agreeing that his employer fired him based on his race.

In the 2019 lawsuit, David Duvall claimed Novant Health had violated his ‘civil rights when the company fired him. They replaced him with two women, one black and one white.

David, who had worked for Novant Health for almost five years, was immediately fired because of a company-wide push to diversify their top leadership roles.
